FICNOVA brings forward the deadline for the submission of films for the sixth edition of 2022
August 31, 2021, new closing date for entries.
Tuesday, June 15. FICNOVA International Organizing Team
In less than two months, since we opened the registration period for the Sixth Edition of the International Film Festival of Active Nonviolence, more than a thousand films from 84 countries have been submitted through the different platforms, surpassing all expectations.
Due to the voluntary nature of the festival, managed through the unpaid work of its organizers, we cannot maintain the December 31, 2021 that was set in the rules to be able to submit films to the 6th FICNOVA 2022 since, if this rate were to continue, it would exceed the capacity of viewing and evaluation of the works by the juries. For all these reasons, the international team organizing the festival decided to bring forward the closing date for entries to August 31, 2021.
We regret not being able to maintain the initial date, but we want to do the rigorous work that all the works deserve. We are giving public notice in advance of the new deadline, so that the authors take this circumstance into account.
We see how the sensitivity and strength of nonviolence is advancing worldwide, so we hope that this Sixth Edition of FICNOVA will be a major reference.
